It was pretty slow moving at first, but once it got going it had me at the edge of my seat. It also took a very unexpected turn near the end that has me desperate to read the next book in the series.
It was a very good story. I am just furious that the author killed the love interest! it broke my heart...
Promising start to the series. Interesting twists and turns and good character development for the most part.

Having Neil in the storyline was good for progression of events but his situation at the end of this made me 'not happy'. On consideration, if he had been explored to a greater depth, it could have impacted on the story itself (which would have been vexing!). So it did work.… (meer)
