Summary:

Whale comes upon a shipwreck. He sees his reflection in the porthole and he believes itis a new friend.The story is about Whales adventure looking for his new friend and about the other friends he met along his way.

Person reaction;

This story got my attention because I believe this teaches kids that friends are good to have.I also think it is good to be social, and i believe this book shows kids that. It also shows kids to go on adventures through your life. i believe the younger audience will love this book because of its bright colors and the different ways everyone can interact with the story.

Classroom extension ideas;
1. class could discuss all the friends and family they have.
2. while reading the story the kids could participate by pretending to swim.
3. We could make some fish and color them.… (meer)

The Best Nest (A Soft & Sparkly Story Book) door Laura Datta
Very cute book. I like the textured, sparkly surface of the pages. Great read aloud for younger children about "belonging" and "family".
