Something Wicked by K.T. Davies and narrated by Chris Coxon is book three in The Chronicles of Breed series. I love this series! It takes fantasy to a new level. Love the snarky Breed, in whatever body he is in, the situations he gets into, the strange twists, the portals, the action, his friends, and zany characters and plot!
Can't wait for the next book!
The narration is excellent for this story.

Tooth and Claw
The Chronicles of Breed, Book 2
By: K.T. Davies
Narrated by: Chris Coxon
It had been a while since I read book one and I was worried I had forgotten the characters but once into the book it all rushed back to me.
Breed is a character all his own...a smarty pantys, snarky, but witty, a bit annoy at times but I just love him!!! He has just enough of each plus good qualities too. Seems like he finds more use for the bad ones in his world. What a strange world it is, and the one he accidentally travels to!
His reincarnation ability to go along with magic is nice but I liked him in his original Breed body. Oh well, it has saved him, lol!
The narration was terrific for this story! I am glad, Breed needs the best!

Dangerous To Know (The Chronicles of Breed #1) by K.T. Davies is a fun fantasy read! This world is fantastic with amazing creatures and cast of characters that really had me hooked. The dialogue was even terrific! It had humor scattered generously throughout the story with some dry humor added as well. Breed is the name of the main character and he is a strange character that gets into more trouble! It is non-stop! His mom is psychotic, he has a couple of rewards for his head, he ends up bond to a demon twice, jailed a couple of times, I forget how many times he gets beat up, shot, chased by a Dragon and a giant spider, and a bunch of guards and I am sure I forgot something. Loads of action! Fun and exciting, catch this book!… (meer)

I was fortunate enough to win two of Davies’s novels – this and The Red Knight – at the last York pub meet, at which Davies read from Breed. The novel is a fairly standard fantasy – while certainly not epic, its setting is plainly of that subgenre – but enlivened by an assured comedic touch, some nice pieces of invention, and a clever use of first person that doesn’t reveal the gender of the narrator. The book opens with a prologue – argh – it could just have easily been the first chapter – in which the narrator escapes imprisonment in an ancient demon’s castle but comes a cropper on learning they had been tricked. Back home in Appleton, where Breed’s mother runs one of the local criminal gangs, Breed is sentenced to five years of bonded servitude for a one-handed wizard after getting caught up in a riot following Breed’s attempt to assassinate the leader of a rival gang. The wizard wants to head for the capital, which is fine as that’s where Breed needs to go in order to fulfil their bargain with the demon of the prologue. Adventures ensue. The characters are all venal, the world is dirty and grim and has never really recovered from a catacylsmic war centuries before, and Breed is an amusingly foul-mouthed narrator. The plot may run on well-polished rails but it does so like clockwork, sort of like a toy train then… but Breed is never less than a fun read, and if grim-but-funny – grimlight? – fantasy is your thing you could do a lot worse than this.… (meer)
