This book is a really good informational book. It discusses how the Cherokee made baskets and mats. Also where the name Cherokee came from and what it means. It talks about how they got their medicine. Later on it discusses the trail of tears and what they did after. It gives more crafts they did and teaches us how to do them. It has the cookie cornmeal recipes they Cherokee used.
Personal Reaction:
I enjoyed reading this book. There was a lot of information I did not know about the Cherokee in the book. It would definitely be useful in a classroom.
