The Macquarie dictionary
A great Aussie dictionary. Chock-full of Aussie slang and localised sayings, without sacrificing the actual English language. A great dictionary for Aussies, or those who read a lot of Aussie novels.
A very Australian reference book, it even has places names and such things, which really don't belong in a Dictionary, but who i am to say?
There are some valid complaints against this dictionary but it's still the bible of Australian English. That doesn't mean the Collins or Oxford Australian dictionaries aren't better though - just that I don't own them.
