Kevin DeYoung (PhD, University of Leicester) is the senior pastor at Christ Covenant Church in Matthews, North Carolina, and assistant professor of systematic theology at Reformed Theological Seminary, Charlotte. He serves as board chairman of the Gospel Coalition and blogs at DeYoung, Restless, toon meer and Reformed He is the author of several books, including Just Do Something; Crazy Busy; and The Biggest Story. What Does the Bible Really Teach about Homosexuality? door Kevin DeYoung

DeYoung writes a helpful and concise answer to what the Bible teaches about homosexuality. I found his exposition on the key texts very good. While DeYoung works hard to be pastorally sensitive, there were moments where the tone was strident and forceful which would make it difficult for this to be the first book I put in the hands of someone identifying as gay. Nevertheless, it is something I would recommend for the majority of our church.

The Hole in Our Holiness: Filling the Gap between…

This book was easy to read and immensely practical. Holiness is a tough issue and DeYoung strikes a nice balance between exhortation and encouragement. He also includes a great section on dating which I will be using in the instruction of my children.
