Three emerging authors of short story collections share their recent contributions to the literary landscape. Jess Taylor's Pauls uses various protagonists with the same first name to explore themes of identity, relationships and love; Kevin Hardcastle's Debris depicts an eclectic assortment of individuals surviving on the fringes of society; and Kris Bertin's Bad Things Happen portrays various characters navigating the in-between moments of their lives.

Everyone has a past, but David Loogan's is darker than most.

Harry Dolan graduated from Colgate University, where he majored in philosophy and studied fiction-writing with the novelist Frederick Busch. He earned a master’s degree in philosophy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and currently works as a freelance editor. He grew up in Rome, New York, and now lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with his partner Linda Randolph.
