I enjoyed Lethal Tender, the 7th book in the series. The team is off again in different directions - Bahamas and Europe. A buried treasure - money buried by one of the top drug lords is sought by another in the chain of command, who wants to use it to kill his superiors and take over the organization. Killing galore in this installment.

My only complaint is that the author continues to cite the type of weapon and caliber every time one is picked up...I made the same comment in a review for book 1. Secondly, the final editing thought the series is weak as incorrect words are used or others missing which causes me to pause and reread past sentences to understand what's taking place.

Even so, I remain "fixed" to this series and have already downloaded book 8 in the series.… (meer)

I could definitely see a difference in this book as compared to the first three in the series; the grammar, misused words, and typos were quite numerous for a single book.

The storyline was good, but some of it seemed rushed instead of letting it play out. I truly don't understand why Mr. Towns chose a co-writer on this book...it really dropped the ranking.

I still feel that the author using weapon nomenclature, sizes, and model names too, too, often...it is getting too repetitive. I also saw that the next installment also includes a co-author, and I hope it won't be much of the same. If so, it'll be my last book from this author.… (meer)

The action never lets up for a minute in Drake's fast-paced story of a private eye out to get revenge for the murder of a friend. After a while, it is easy to lose track of all the bad guys and their string of connections to one another, and the plot includes a few rather implausible events necessary to keep the detective heading in the right direction toward the solution. But these shortcomings are compensated for by some good individual scenes that hold things together and make this a pretty satisfying read.… (meer)
