Vicky Dreiling

I really enjoy Vicky Dreiling's writing style. I love reading historical romances, but find all story lines similar. So far both books in this "series" have been different and out of character for the times, or maybe not?! I am looking forward to her next book coming out this yr.

It kept my interest a little more than usual as it wasn't the typical met at the ball, seduce, marry type of a book. I love how the author incorperated "the bachelor/bachelorette" into the story which made it for an interesting read. thumbs up!

I really liked this one. Chubby, independent spinster with a secret that makes her insecure and closed off. The angst was quite good, the matchmaking gig being the perfect foil for doubts and suffering. Could have used a bit more sex though. Definitely will be reading more by Vicky Dreiling. (3.5 stars)

Originally read in July 2011, re-read May 2015. Took it off the chubby heroine shelf since it is only referenced a couple of times with regard to her "voluptuous figure."

I enjoyed this historical romance. I received it for free and I voluntarily chose to review this book. I've given it a 4.5* rating. There is just a little too much sexual content and is not for the under 18 readers. This is one that pulled you into the family drama along with family friends. Welcome to the annual house party that lasts for weeks. Lots going on with sisters in both families, one unruly pug puppy and lots of rain. There is humor and rage to keep everything stirred up.
