The title of this book refers to Donald Horne's 'The Lucky Country' which was published in 1964.
David Fagan's book is ultimately a very positive look at the situation in Australia in late 2019.
He is not afraid to point out where mistakes have been made, and he acknowledges what has been done to remedy them. There are few situations where he simply throws his hands in the air.
And then, in March of 2020 came COVID-19. It will be interesting to see what Fagan has to say in five or ten years' time.… (meer)
