The English Provincial Book Trade Before 1850: A… door John Feather
Now quite out of date, but at the time at least a good starting point for the study of the English book trade outside London and Oxbridge.
This is a fantastic read and if you want to understand contemporary literature publishing this book will give you a new historical context, insight and impetus.
Not as good as Glaister's, but good little dictionary covering book and printing terms and names of importan publishers and printers. Won't go out of date.
Recommended reading for my course. Helpful as a broad overview.
