In my opinion, “Our Planet Earth” is a charming informational book for children to read. This book teaches readers all about Earth and the problems that are occurring because of pollution. The book shows big, vibrant pictures of the different parts of our planet. The painted pictures are very attractive. Along with lots of accurate information, this book contains many unique features that engage readers. For example, this book has fun facts and recommendations for readers in the back of the book. This book gets readers to broaden their perspectives about how to take care of the environment. This book challenges readers to clean up their local environment. The book includes a list in the back of the book that states different things that readers can do to save the planet. For example, the book states, “What you can do: plant a tree, pick up your trash, use water wisely, reuse/repair/recycle, and trade books/toys with friends instead of throwing them away.” This section of the book also explains how children can do these steps on their own. The big idea is to persuade readers to clean up their local environment for the sake of the planet.… (meer)
