Chris is not having the best Christmas. He's pretty sure he's not getting the one thing he really wants, and he's having to celebrate the holiday without his beloved Grandma. Things start looking up when Chris's Grandpa proves to have a great night planned. Chris gets exactly what he wants, but he soon learns there may be another boy his age who needs it much more. Chris will sacrifice much, but he will gain even more as the memory of his Grandma helps to increase the Christmas spirit.

This story is a wonderful way to celebrate Christmas! The brevity is fantastic because it allows for the story to keep young people's attention. It's short enough to be enjoyed in one sitting, which is the perfect thing for the busy holiday season. It's also written in a beautiful way that children of all ages will be able to relate to. I loved this story, and I think it will be a wonderful way to bring in the true meaning and spirit of Christmas. This story will make a great new Christmas tradition, so definitely check it out.

This is a sweet jam packed Christmas Story. This little book is filled with emotional feelings.
Chris's Dad is out of work, and he feels he won't get the one thing he really, really wants! This story makes us think of our values...there are always some less fortunate. Christ's Love that is show in this story is so awesome. Teaches quite a lesson.
We find the true value of the Family that most of us quite often take for granted. Don't miss the beautiful story...it may bring you to tears, but oh so worth it.

A lovely warm and moving Christmas short story that touches on your emotions. Reminding us of the special meaning of Christmas, the love of family and the pleasure of giving.

Visiting Grandpa at Christmas, Chris was reminded just how much he missed his grandma since she had died, they had been extremely close. Each year she would treat him to a special Christmas tree present just for him and she would also display wooden carvings of Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus, given to her by her father. Sadly when she had taken ill a fire had started in the house and the Mary and Joseph carvings were scorched and baby Jesus was lost. Grandpa had finally decided to display the two carvings this year but saddened that he could not find baby Jesus to complete the set.

When Chris's friend, Hyrum, arrived at Grandpa's carol singing, Chris learnt that he lived as an orphan with nuns and his only Christmas wish was to have a coat to wear of his own size. Having complained so much about not getting his wish, a Tony Hawk skateboard, hearing this sadness and finding a rather special hidden present really made Chris stop and think about what was really important at Christmas Time.

A beautiful tale that will make you feel Christmas glow.… (meer)
