The romance between Scarecrow and Sandy was a highlight within the science-fiction genre. It felt genuine, and the way they supported each other within the parrals they faced was another highlight.
The subtle references towards biblical truths added another layer of reality within the story, which I appreciated. Without being preachy, the verses have fitted well within the context of the plotline.
The author’s knowledge of military events was another prominent feature within the story as it unfolded, taking you right into the very core of their struggles with this unknown enemy. Which was to destroy and kill. Not only his knowledge but the research done comes forth within the plotline, making this an enjoyable read.
The vivid descriptions and lively dialogue kept me informed as we sliced through space. There is an easy flow that makes the fast-paced story line easy to read.
The enemy’s clever tactics kept them on their toes, and at times, faith, the correct choices and backbone were the only things they could depend on to overcome this enemy that lurked in the shadows—or were it planets?
I can recommend this book to all lovers of science fiction. It is a clean read with all the intrigues that makes life happen. And makes it suitable for all ages.… (meer)
