This story tells how the author bought a farm and sheep. It changed her attitude toward life and her relationship with her father. Her journey exposes the trials and commitments inexperience farmers face. From the beginning, she considered the sheep member of the family, not just livestock. Sheep sicken and die interrupting the tranquil setting. Life lessons and sheep pictures are scattered through the book.

A truly lovely book. What a gifted life - an endearing father, a farm and lots of sheep as pets; not to mention lots of reading. Life there was not perfect but oh to experience even a fraction of this would have been a dream.
