Had to read for my surveillance & society class, was extremely interesting in that it wasn’t hard to get through or dry like most academic texts are. It does a good job of answering the question ‘why should I care?’ every time it brings up a new subtopic.
I will also say I appreciated it having somewhat of a content warning in that for one of the example boxes, it said something along of the lines of ‘it probably won’t do well to read the box if x makes you paranoid.’ And the text does well about being conscious about people’s preexisting notions regarding surveillance. Was overall a good read & would probably reread it.… (meer)
