The Cause of God and Truth 4 Vols door John Gill
One of the best sources for a defense of Calvinism.
18th century Baptist minister. Always a pleasure to read. While there are many false accusations floating around, he needs to be read to get a true estimation of the value of his books.
This edition of Gill's Doctrinal and Practical Divinity are bound together in a nice hardback, clothbound edition. Sixty dollars is a small price to pay for this work by one of the greatest theologians of the Baptist faith. I would highly recomend this to any student of theology and to every Baptist minister and seminarian.
Some great exposition of Scriptures, sheds some light on his sermon style. Solomon's Song and Matthew 24 are well done. His Baptist persuasion leads to unnatural exposition of some texts. One described this exposition as: "Oh what a continent of mud".
