I thoroughly enjoyed myself in this story. The beginning pages set the stage for the story. Hannah's husband has died leaving her with 12 children (and one on the way), a ranch/farm to maintain with very little money and a hired hand who she can't afford to keep. Her solution is to propose to the hired hand and ask him to take on one very large family and one run down ranch and one pregnant woman who needs help, not necessarily love. Frank, "Mr. Francis", accepts the challenge and what a challenge it is. But Mr. Francis is such a calm and logical guy and adapts very well to the situation. But learning to understand Hannah and her thinking and her moods is quite a challenge. And Hannah will learn to appreciate and even come to love this man who is nothing like the dear husband she lost. This marriage of convenience/business proposition will grow into a loving and caring relationship that I thoroughly enjoyed.… (meer)
