Ruth Bader Ginsburg has been an associate justice of the Supreme Court since 1993. Ruth Bader Ginsburg was born in New York City in 1933. She is an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. She is a graduate of Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in government, toon meer began her legal studies at Harvard University Law School and finished at Columbia University with a Bachelor of Laws degree. After law school she became a professor. She taught civil procedures at Rutgers Law School and Columbia Law School. She was appointed by President Jimmy Carter to the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit in 1980. In 1993, she was appointed by President Bill Clinton to the US Supreme Court. She has been awarded three honorary Doctor of Laws degrees, from Willamette University in 2009, from Princeton University in 2010, and Harvard University in 2011. Ruth Bader Ginsburg remained an active member of the US Supreme Court until her death on September 18, 2020 at the age of 87. (Bowker Author Biography) toon minder
