Leslie Glass, who grew up in New York, has worked as a journalist, a playwright, and a novelist. She studied music at Mannes College and received a BA from Sarah Lawrence College. Glass started writing the April Woo series in 1995. The stories presented in the novels are all based on real police toon meer cases. In 1991, she started the Leslie Glass Foundation, which grants graduate research fellowships in the criminal justice and mental health fields. Since 1998, she has been a trustee of the New York City Police Foundation and is actively involved in the Crime Stoppers program. (Bowker Author Biography) toon minder
