This is a great contemporary romance. Abused girl meets alpha boy and romance ensues. While its not an original storyline, it is well written. I really liked Ivey. I felt that she was a very believable abuse survivor. I loved that she didn't fall in love 2 weeks after her abuse ended. She waited 9 years! To me, that seemed very realistic. I was not a huge fan of Cal though. He is a sweet, protective, bossy alpha; now, I don't normally mind guys like that (in fact, they are kind of hot!), but there were times when Cal was demanding of things that I thought was a bit too much. However, all of this is saved by super sweet Tommy! I want a book about Tommy when he grows up!!

Another great romance for Julia Goda. The characters are likable even though they both make some mistakes at the beginning of the book. Julia does a great job of showing how much work they put in to get back that relationship they lost. And while Jason is a rock star, its not about that which I appreciate. The book deals with their relationship and the day to day stuff: dealing with loss, jealously, family and friends, etc. Its all very normal even though he is famous.
What I didn't like: While it is dual POV, Loreley's POV is in 1st person and Jason's is in 3rd. It was weird and made it a bit difficult to follow at times.… (meer)
