Quick read about five single guests at a lavish wedding in Annapolis. I wanted to like the characters but found them all horrible. Their behavior was crude and ridiculous and got worse and worse as the wedding wore on.

The two male characters that were not completely awful were pathetic in that they ruined relationships with women in favor of their Mom and a dog. What was up with that??

All the women, except for the bride, were horrible.

I should have known this would be bad because one of the blurbs on this book is from the author of "Girls in White Dresses" the other book I gave one star to this year!… (meer)

* I got this book from the publisher for my honest thoughts*

This was a great book to kick off my summer reads season. I really loved how this book was focused on both grief but also science and experiments with love twist. I really found the self discovery path in this story to be super strong. I also really realated to the female/male friendship dynamics because that was something that defined my high school experience. I also liked how this book tackled grief but in a unique way. I flew through this book and really think that was because the structure of this book made the pacing of this book super well crafted. I also really loved all the side characters and the lead boy made me smile. I would def read more by this author in the future.… (meer)

Meredith Goldstein is the author of Love Letters, the relationship advice column for the Boston Globe that ends each answer with the question, ‘Readers? What do you think?’ And since I’m a big fan of advice columns and online forums like Reddit’s AITA that invite input from their readers, this was perfect for me. The personal essays she included at the beginning of each section added a real-life relevance to her answers and made clear she wasn't tossing out pat answers or just trying to entertain. I did a Google search to see if her column is available online and was happy to see she has a podcast… (meer)
