Sue Gough

Beverley has had a stroke and her well-meaning therapist is bringing her to hydrotherapy sessions with new-age charlatan Sue Mindberry. Unable to speak for herself, Beverley copes by making up stories about the women who surround her in the pool every week.

It took me a few "stories" to figure out what was going on. Most of them are good, but a couple I confess to skimming through. Overall I found the book to be quite sad, angry, and hopeless.
