A good portrayal of the last hundred days of the war from the Canadian perspective.

Rehash of research notes. Interesting certainly but the book from the notes was The Generals.

This is a lively account of Canada's WWII army, which conducted some very difficult operations in the face of severe resistance. There is a clear review of Canadian army command politics, and a good set of quotations on the more difficult passages in the war from a Canadian point of view. A good book with a useful bibliography for further studies of a interesting and highly respected force. The maps are not as good as the text.
