What a storyteller this man is. This book is an earlier edition of a set book at the school I attended. We groaned about having to read old Mopey's stories until we were grabbed by the suspense a page or two in. The two stories that stick in my mind are Sur l'eau and La peur. The atmosphere builds sentence by sentence in each one. The reader begins to feel the fear as the fog, mist and seemingly unexplained circumstances thicken. There must be something unworldly about it all but there isn't as the final sentences reveal.… (meer)
