Bone has the ability to kill people in any way imaginable, and she has used them all throughout her career as an assassin. Dmitry has been following Bone for months and realizes that she may have answers to questions involving the death of his parents and his two missing sisters. Their attraction to one another introduces more complications that become evident when the two of them meet face-to-face for the first time.
The beginning chapter of each of the three books in the No Mercy series has focused on the same night, when all four of the First Team assassins cemented their connection to one another and inspired their ultimate plan to murder their brutal trainer, Joseph Bombardier. Bone Deep brings more information to light about Ninka, the loving but weak girl who died that night and how her story connects all of them. Less of this book is spent on the romance between Bone and Dmitry and more about setting the stage for the final book in the series. We also meet some new characters introduced into the series including, Nameless, the woman who gave birth to the boy they are all so desperately trying to find. Overall, this was a good story especially the parts that develop the final installment. I look forward to the next book, which I assume will focus on not only finishing the series, but also telling the story of the character, Blade.… (meer)

Flash of Fury is the first book in the Endgame Ops series. This first story features King McNally, leader of the Endgame Ops team and Allie Redding, daughter of the director of the CIA. The book opens with King's team being shot down in a helicopter during an op in Lebanon, then switches to Allie meeting King, as her life is being threatened by hijackers on her flight back to the US from Cameroon. King saves her life, but in the process, learns that there is more to the hijacking than mere terrorists taking over a plane. Allie is in the center of a plot that involves both King's team, Allie's father, and the CIA, all of which seem to lead back to Lebanon. King realizes that Allie is in the middle of all of his problems, but must put them aside in order to get her home safely.
This story is full of action along with twists and turns to keep the reader guessing about almost every character that is introduced. The fast pace of the story as well as the political intrigue and the romance between King and Allie all combine to make this a very well written and interesting story. I'm anxious to read the second book in the series.

Bullet has been trained to be a cold, sharp-shooting assassin since the age of 5. She is part of the "First Team," and their trainer, Joseph Bombardier is head of a powerful group known as "The Collective." Rand has vowed revenge on Joseph Bombardier and The Collective since they killed his wife and daughter. He formed "Trident," his own security agency, to help others like himself, but also to finally get his revenge. Instead of killing Rand as she has been ordered, Bullet warns him that he is a target and sets in motion her own plan for revenge.
There are many ambiguous characters in this book, whose actions are unpredictable, making for a very interesting read. However, from the beginning, we understand Bullet and feel her pain as well as her motivation. Bullet is a very strong female character whose actions follow a deeply entrenched moral code that she and her "sisters" continue to use as the basis for their choices. Rand and his men are not easily convinced of Bullet's intentions, but as the story unfolds, they slowly learn to both understand and respect Bullet and the choices she has made. Overall, this is a very good opening to the No Mercy series.

Running the Risk is the second book in the Endgame Ops series. Jude Dagan believes that the love of his life, Ella Banning, was killed a year ago in a botched mission in Beirut. This mission, which begins the book, is the same one that began the previous book in this series. The difference being that this time we get Jude's point of view instead of King's. When rumors start flying that Ella is alive, Jude can't help but investigate. In the meantime, Ella saves the lives of King McNally and Allie Redding in the previous book, and she reveals to her entire former team that she is still alive. How did she survive when it appeared she had been shot in the head? The fact that she is living with the team's arch enemy, Dresden, causes Jude and the rest of the team to label her a traitor, making them even more determined to find her to either extract revenge or get her side of the story.
This was another good book in the Endgame Ops series. It is made more interesting because, even though we know Ella isn't a traitor, we don't know how she is going to be able to prove her innocence. An overall good read.
