Another entry in the author's monumental overview of South Australian football. While Gyss needs to be thanked for his work on South Australian football history, this edition seems somewhat light on. Sure, 1945 was a light-on season but for a 68 page book, I'm sure it could have been squeezed into half without too many troubles.

West Torrens were 1945 premiers, although Port Adelaide were far and away the best team throughout the season. Layout aside, this is a great resource for South Australian football historians, full of wonderful nuggets of useless information like "Arthur Lance and 'Bo' Morton met in Jisi a small town north of Florence in Italy" in 1944.
