Slightly better than the first book. Still too much description/thoughts but a bit more dialogue which is better. I think it's going so slow because it's a trilogy that could have been one or 2 books. I'm not going any further. There are some things that just don't fit the story. Sophia has yet to tell Rebel her real name even though she is in love! She doesn't trust him and I don't feel any real closeness between them. They don't work as a team most of the time which makes me feel there is no real love.… (meer)

I wrote a long review only to see it disappear when I accidentally hit the back page button when trying to format it. Not going to re-write it.

Long story short, it was a decent read. Rebel tattooed new kid in school falls for the school pariah (she dared to call rape on the school's goldenboy). There is insta-hate, but turns quickly into love.

The following is about the trigger warnings in the bookTrigger warning - the gang rape that happened to the heroine the year before is recounted. Takes place in a bathroom during a party. Not too graphic, but if you have a problem with such situations you can skip it. There is enough information in the book before the scene to make it possible to not have to read it if you don't want to. Also the scene isn't just thrown at you with no warning, it starts a chapter and is clearly indicated as to what will happen. It is recounted by an email from the heroine to the hero.

The ending of the book was unnecessary drama for no good plot-moving reason. I have read enough books with the plot device used in the final scenes to know what was going on. Any seasoned reader will see it too.

The book started out as a standalone, but the author mentioned at the end that the story wasn't complete and so she will continue with another book- release date tbd.

I will read the sequels since the major obstacles in this book were not resolved.… (meer)
