This book started out interesting but there were moments that would take me out of the story. I never fully understood the characters and their motivations and the ending was just weird how it moved on to the brother without settling things with Persephone. There is a part of me that wants to read the next book to see if I can get answers, especially as I've enjoyed other books by this author. I'm undecided if I'll do that at this point.

I'm glad I continued on with this book. The main issues I had with Scott and Persephone were touched upon in this book. I, also, got to better understand Landon. I can see know that the mystery behind the fire with the families is something that is going to be discovered in each of the books. That makes me more invested in the series and these characters. Definitely invested in what Ivy discovers.

Now that I know how interconnected these stories are I'm even more invested. Each book focuses on one sibling intermixed with characters from the previous books as the big discovery or rather mystery is solved. At first the endings baffled me as to how they were ending because its not really even a happy for now. Instead, it is the end of the book from that characters point of view before the story picks up right where it left off to start again from the new character and their story. I can't wait to get answers in the conclusion with Neve.… (meer)

I have loved and devoured this series but for some reason this one frustrated the he'll out of me. The characters didn't fully resonate with me, in particular Fia, although Carter wasn't as bad, and the storyline was all over. It left it in the air about Hope . Even though we see her in the future, nothing is really said about what happened after that showdown. Also confused by the animosity from Logan.
Still love this series but this was not my favorite. I rounded up to a four but really was more a 3.5.… (meer)
