This is a bit longer than the books I usually read for storytime, but I think it's good enough that I'll do just this one instead of two books for my rain-themed birthday storytime.

Rudie finds out his babysitter has the flu and decides to make soup for her. He makes chicken soup with his mother the way his sitter made it, while adding "stories" to it. He brings the soup to his babysitter, and she feels much better the next day. This book is for ages 4+. This book can be found in the Lakewood Pierce College library

A sweet story of a girl who learns to care for someone else in need, by paying attention to other’s feelings and needs. She learns the importance of following steps and helping.
