Really captivating read on the history of drink - both its making and its enjoyment, told in a quirky tongue-in-cheek style.

I could not find this book on Amazon, or using Google or Bard.

A light-toned, enjoyable look at penises. Hickman comes at his subject from every conceivable angle (I'll try to keep the double entendres to a minimum). He doesn't really drill down in detail into anything but it's very well researched. I would recommend this as a first stop for anyone with an interest in penises as it's a good signpost for further reading. Practical experimentation might be more fun though.

Not a bad book to start with, if you haven't read anything about men and their penis' before (it contains the usual fun facts, anecdotes, etc., including numerous literary references) - if you have, it comes across as a bit superficial. Also, I really found Hickman's writing lacked flow - the sentence structure doesn't make for easy reading.

Until the publication of this biography few will have heard much about Walter Thompson. He is an interesting historical figure and had a close relationship with Winston Churchill throughout his time in the Secret Service. This is explored throughout the book.
