Something was wrong with this book, but I can't really put my finger on what it was. Seems like the author just never seriously engaged the philosophical questions he pretends to discuss. He touches upon them but then resorts to contrived analogies (Plastic Man and Autonomous Man) instead of clearly arguing his points. In any case I did not enjoy reading this book at all and I didn't learn anything from it.

A piece that all graduate students in politics ought to read.
