A wonderful, clunky love story. A middle-age love story, which is refreshing, and which includes the baggage that people with life experiences carry. A lot of awkward, difficult moments well into the beginning of the story. I had trouble with the main characters connecting—it didn't "feel" right. Then the interactions worked once the main characters started interacting, and worked wonderfully. Incredible cast and acting. For me, this movie has strong aspects of the "Before Sunrise" and "Before Sunset" movies. Wonderful "making of" featurette. — Rebecca
My wife connected this movie with the "Before" movies, which, yes, I understand. This seems like "Before Sun-lite", in comparison. But the frustration, disappointment, and flaws in the characters was real. It was the beginning of a love story that might not work in the long run—depending on whether the characters can adapt and overcome their bad habits. But it showed a good potential start, and I always enjoy watching Emma and Dustin (and also enjoyed Baker and Brolin). It was fun for me—even the frustrating parts. — Paul… (meer)

There seems to have been quite a spate of films about middle-aged or elderly people in recent years. Or perhaps it’s just that I’m seeing them because I have liked or bought others. On the whole we like them, as we’re in that stage of life, and this was quite a positive one on the whole.
