Creature of Havoc door Steve Jackson
Been a while since I've had a turn in the Yellowstone Mines, so I thought that it would be nice to have another attempt at this. I have never completed this book, but the last time I played it I was so thoroughly stuck that I did some research and discovered that there is a misprint that means that you cannot complete it! Noting the misprint on my copy allowed me to get past it, yay I thought, this is it! But no, I was missing something, and whilst I managed to dispatch Darramouss the undead half-elf sadist prison warden, I was unable to find my way any further! Oh well, more reasearch and perhaps better luck next time!… (meer)
Had a go at this one the last couple of nights, and both times I ended up captured pretty quickly. This is a fun book, Jackson knows his way around classic horror tropes and his books are always very well written. This one will need to be mapped if you want to complete it.
I know there is a lot wrong with this book (sausage fest / the whole balthus dire being trapped forever thing happening completely offscreen in a total deus ex machina / and the actual real deus ex machina that at least might be a bit of a joke) but I love it.
