Interesting to me because the location he describes of the lost Padre's gold mine is a hop skip and a jump from my home. Unfortunately, it appears to be on government land, and trespassers are not allowed. I did enjoy the story, but it's hard to say whether I liked it because I know the region, or whether it really was a good story.
