This book can be used for 2nd or 3rd graders. The content and illustrations definitely play a part in learning about a plant's life cycle. The reading level for this book is perfect for 2nd or 3rd grade that they can read it individually or it can be read aloud. Instead of illustrations, actual photographs are used to demonstrate the realism of a sunflower field. Kids this age will be able to understand the photos and be able to picture what a sunflower field really looks like.
Summary:
Tells of the Battles of Lexington and Concord which began the Revolutionary war and helped to shape a new nation. The pictures of modern day man and women dressed in reenactment gear only goes to show children the difference in the British and the Colonial army's.
Personal Reaction:
I found this book to be accurate and easy to read for the young history buff.
