I am a huge fan of Anne-Marie Klein’s Behind Blue Eyes series. When I bought and read the first book Love Reign O'er Me, I was so caught up in the story unfolding I immediately downloaded the following two books in the series. I read Love Ain't For Keeping shortly after the first book - it is a really great book.

Ian has carried on with his life and has come to terms with his past and his losses, but he is not truly happy. Even though he is enjoying the success the band has achieved, and he has his young daughter whom he adores, it is not enough, there is something missing in his life. I was thrilled when an old flame entered his life, she is perfect for him, but things do not always go according to plan. Ian often finds himself with his foot firmly in his mouth as he has a habit of saying things before thinking them through, or in anger without meaning to, and this gets him into a lot of trouble - and there comes a time when this leads to his worst nightmare.

I always listen to music when I read, and while I was reading this book a song came up on the playlist – Wonderful Tonight by Eric Clapton. This song to me is what Ian is about, loving and being loved. Another two favorite songs that come to mind that I really enjoyed listening to while reading this series is Parisienne Walkways and Stairway to Heaven, both of these songs have a nostalgic feel to them, and for me, they fit in perfectly with the story.

I loved this book and highly recommend it. It is a beautiful, well written sexy rock ‘n roll love story, and is written with a very obvious passion for music, which I appreciate.

None of the books in the series end on a cliffhanger, they all flow effortlessly into each other. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series – even though I know it will be the last book, but I am hopeful that the author will carry on writing, and give us another Rock ‘n Roll series we can get lost in.

Wow, what can I say? This book blew me away. It is not what I was expecting to read, it caught me totally off guard - but it was brilliant.

It tells the story of Ian and his love for Sarah in a way that has you hanging on to each word – the love, the tragedy, the strength he finds in caring for his daughter is bittersweet, and so touching. There were many times when I wanted to shake Ian and tell him to get a grip, but at the same time, my heart broke for him. At other times, I was proud of him LOL.

The story, like ‘Love Reign O’er Me’, is beautifully written, and flowed effortlessly which is such a pleasure to read. The characters are all amazingly well developed – so well in fact that each and every one stays with you long after you have put the book down. The author has done a really, really good job with their development.

I love this story and will give this book a few days to sink in before I start the next one. I am so glad I found this series, it is one of the best I have read in a very long time.

I LOVED THIS BOOK !!

This is one of those occasions when my lack of writing skills seriously frustrates me. I cannot for the life of me put into words how much I enjoyed this book.

The story takes place in the late 70's and is the story of Ian, a very talented musician from a wealthy family who is running from his past, and Sarah the beautiful girl he met in a music shop.

Ian is shy and sensitive and has a problem opening up to people, while Sarah is the total opposite, but they connect, and fall in love. It is not an easy relationship as Ian has serious baggage he cannot share with Sarah, and this, on top of other problems he has, causes a rift between them. It is left up to Sarah to try and help him, but she makes a decision that does not work out for them, and they go their separate ways - on a personal level, but stay with the band. The band, in the meantime, is doing well and they are working hard to achieve their goals and are well on their way to reaching the rock star status they want so badly.

This story is beautifully written, it is fast paced with wonderful characters that are driven by their love of music, but at the same time, they are devoted to their families and friends. It is a story with lots of twists and turns that caught me unawares at times.

There were many times I cringed at the decisions the characters made, but it made the story real, and the characters so genuine and sincere that you can't help but be drawn into their story, and silently hope and pray they ultimately make the right decisions so that they can all live happily ever after :)

I look forward to reading Behind Blue eyes: Love Ain't for Keeping, but I must admit I am nervous, in case anything goes wrong ..... LOL

I highly recommend this book - it is a fantastic read.
