Lovely book, illustrated with pen and ink and watercolor, an calligraphic type. Written in rhyme, it explores the start of a seed to tree, and detailed illustrations showcase the intersections of living things in the tree's ecosystem. Fold out at the end has information and vocabulary opposite a three-page-illustration.

This book does a great job explaining how a seed grows into a tree. It will be a great book to read aloud to a class or an individual.

An excellent little bedtime book. This one does a lovely job of appreciating the landscape, using poetic language to move you through the seasons and a surprise fold out page to end the show. With just the right illustrations and gold foil, this is a favorite in our nursery.
