Knox Gelatine

The inside cover has typewriter page message from Mrs. Knox.
The first page is a contents list, mislabeled an index. Next is a half-page small font description on how to set the table.
The following pages discusswhat comes in the two different boxes, the amount of liquid needed, the mold to hold the cooling gelatin, and another page on "Gelatine Hints". Finally, on page 8 the recipes begin.

There is a tuna fish, crab meat or salmon salad recipe for which the picture shows a fish-shaped mold with pink-colored "salad". Thee is a Knox version of Mayonnaise. Some recipes have color illustrations with them. There are sections on Jellied meats, plain and fancy desserts, frozen desserts, recipes for children's parties, and for convalescents. The last section is titled "Additional Uses". The inside of the back cover has a short glossary.

I will not rate the book since I am not a cook, just an eater, but the things in the book look tasty.… (meer)
