This book talks about animals in the Galapago Islands, more specifically the penguins. This book says that the giant tortoises, Galapagos finches, marine iguanas, and fur sea lions are unique animals that can only be found on Galapago Islands. Galapago penguins are the most endangered species of penguins. Galapago penguins have many predators if its in the water or on land. The book says if a predator were nearby they say these penguins would use a call that sounds like the noises a donkey makes, which would warn the other penguins. Some penguins breed only once a year, but Galapago penguions breed all year around, but since food is somethimes short, they only breed when they have enough food.

I gave this book the rating I did because it was very informative. It was only short one star because it wasn't very entertaining to read. It was interesting though, none the less. It gave you a lot of information about the Galapago Islands and their species living on it, the majority though being the penguins. It wasn't creative with it, it was only information no sliding in jokes on the side just so serious. I like the fact that it gave you a chart that shows the endangered level of all the penguins, so you can compare them side by side. In conclusion I think this was a really good book, but if your not into informative stuff, dont read it.

This book was definitely very informative, but I'm not sure if I would read it to my students. I honestly got lost part way though. I think this would be interesting to have within your classroom library though for student interest in case they ever wanted to study up on Neurons. I would not suggest this as a read aloud though (things get really confusing up in our bodies. This text was still very interesting though and informative.
