This review should have been a part of early reviewers. Unfortunately the publisher would not provide a copy of the book that was not web-based. This online-only and clunky pdf format made it difficult to access and disengaging as reader. There could be good stuff here, but too many barriers are in place to truly know.

In my business roles I am constantly weighing options for decision input and have read a lot on this subject. The author has written a concise but informative book on the various decision-making processes, techniques, and considerations for quantitative and qualitative decision situations. The questions following the chapters and the examples are helpful for reinforcing the material. The author also included essential material on biases and interpretive issues that can skew decision-making. Additionally, frank discussion of decision-making technique weaknesses and unsuitability for certain problems will be helpful for developing these skills. The author used a wide range of applications and illustrations and practical implementations such as negotiation strategies. I highly recommend the book for those who want one source to become familiar with a wide variety of decision-making techniques.… (meer)

I've read quite a bit about decision making frameworks. This book is a great introduction for people new to the subject.

I enjoyed the layout of this book. It begins by discussing the mental aspects of decision making, moves on to explore a few different frameworks and ends with how to sell your decision. The flow of the information is very logical.

This book, by virtue of being a textbook, is easy to navigate. All of the important terms are in bold, there are some great questions at the end of each chapter, and the index provides a quick and easy way to find specific subject matter within the book. These attributes make this a very good choice to be a reference text for people who need to refer back to it later.

While this book seems to be targeted to businesspeople, it's also general enough to be applicable in one's personal life. I recommend this book to everyone.
