A very thought provoking book delving into the Ukrainian immigrant experience in northeast Alberta.

There was a comparison in the preface with North Saskatchewan to the Danube, which historically seemed ridiculous, but as I got deeper into the book it is not so far off. It certainly winds its way through the heart of the Prairie provinces of Canada, from the heights of the Rockies to the delta of The Pas.
