Biblical interpretation : the only right way door David P. Kuske
"Biblical Interpretation: The Only Right Way accepts the Bible as the inspired and inerrant Word of God. It follows the biblical principle that Scripture is its own interpreter. It also puts to res the accusation that those who hold to biblical inerrancy must check their reason at the door. It shows that, while reason is always subservient to Scripture, it is useful in the study of Scripture. From the back of the book
The little Bible study book, Christian Concerns, by David P Kuske, contains just six topics that are of concern to people: One Bible, Many religions, Fellowship, Angels and Devils, the Dual Nature of the Christian, God’s role for women, and Adiaphora. Each study contains and introduction to the topic, Bible verses to examine, discussion points and a prayer. It is found with other Bible studies on the library shelves under the number 220.07/Kus.
I've been reading through the entire series of The People's Bible Commentaries for the past year and a half.
But, although I had some reservations about the conservative theology expressed in some of the other commentaries in this series, this is the first that has really disturbed me.
In 2 Thessalonians chapter 2, Paul gives a warning about the anti-Christ. Although Christians over the years have identified various leaders as the anti-Christ, author David Kuske firmly identifies him as the Catholic Pope. Almost 20 of the 123 total pages are devoted to this subject.
As a Protestant, I believe in Sola Scriptura, but the anti-Christ?
