Rhyming on Rushmore can be used for either part of a study on American History or specifically, that of South Dakota. Both the author and photographer have created a story that is relatable to children.
My only concern would be that, perhaps, the author should have kept with factual information rather than debatable ideas such as "A is for America...the hopeful foundation of an independent, fair, democratic nation. A home for all people, despite wealth or needs, America welcomes all colors and creeds." Many might disagree with such a strongly fueled statement.… (meer)
