Short stories for children this time. Odd.

I read this book online through the International Children's Digital Library. While their selection of books in English is not particularly large, the focus of the library is not to provide books for children in English, but rather, in their native tongues.

Our Old Nursery rhymes is a book of classic nursery rhymes, complete with musical notation and a quaint illustration for each rhyme. The characters are all English (white) children and the settings of the illustrations appear to be various nurseries and play-rooms.

The cultural markers are those of the dominant culture in England at the turn of the twentieth century.

Highly recommended for an elementary school library.
