I probably preferred this to the first book: House of Zeor.
However, still not resonating with me.
General storyline not too bad, but...

...too hard for me to follow all the medical, sime-gen issues and terminology.
Seems every second page a gen or a sime is falling into some near-fatal condition.
Also, the self-sacrificing martyrdom of so many characters just gave me the shits. Chastising someone else for not taking care of themselves, letting themselves get into a dangerous state then seem to do the same thing themselves.… (meer)

I have the Playboy Paperbacks edition which has a scantily dressed woman with plenty of bosom showing through her ripped dress, which leaves expectations of a cheap romance novel.
Instead I found it reminded me a bit of Dune.
By which I mean that for a fair while everything was above my head - so much detail going into things I didn't understand. Felt like I had jumped in midway through a series or even midway through a book.

Took a while to get into it and then found I liked it enough to read some more of the series.… (meer)

Llevan viviendo mucho tiempo en secreto entre nosotros. Son los Luren, una raza de vampiros extraterrestres. Pero el enemigo que se enfrenta a Titus en la Luna es su propio "padre"…, el hombre que lo despertó hace mucho tiempo a su existencia de vampiro. Y Titus sabe que tiene la batalla perdida, a menos que rompa el juramento que prestó tantos años atrás.
O a menos que utilice al único superviviente de la nave siniestrada, cuya existencia es mantenida en gran secreto: ni Turista ni Residente, pero definitivamente luren…, y un poderoso aliado, siempre que consiga que los lazos de sangre se reconcilien con los lazos del honor.… (meer)
