I'm not quite done, but have really enjoyed this book. It's like an intervention to someone like me who does a lot of things and struggles with focus.

Not a lot of what I read is amazingly new, but the delivery and connecting of certain moments makes things a bit clearer.

I'd recommend this to anyone who works in any justice seeking field. My book group had a range of occupations: social workers, a psychiatrist, social justice organizers and students. We all identified with parts of the book and learned a little bit about ourselves.… (meer)

i might end up being an evangelist for this book for anyone who advocates for anyone or anything on any level at all. it's not perfect, and if i'm being honest i really can't compare it to other books in this category (self-care, self-help, spirituality) because i don't read these kind of books. but it was accessible and not over the top for someone who doesn't want to read self-help, but wants some guidance on self-care and managing secondary/vicarious trauma. this is one that i feel like i'll need to go back to over and over.… (meer)
