Casanova Was a Librarian: A Light-Hearted Look at… door Kathleen Low
Some interesting information, but some of it was repetitive, and the organization of the book seems fairly disjointed (oddly enough.) It sometimes read like an advertisement for different librarian products. These things, along with some errors (eg: Longfellow died in 1882, but then went on to be a librarian from 1929 through 1935? Wait, what? See page 9.) led me to become disenchanted with this book. A good concept, but unfortunately the end result left me wanting.
Une lecture légère sur les bibliothécaires et le monde dans lequel ils baignent. Le livre mentionne les bibliothécaires célèbres, des personnages historiques qu'on ne suspecte pas d'être des bibliothécaires et plusieurs éléments cocasses. Il y a une section sur les maladies qui affecte les bibliothécaires, l'humour des bibliothécaires, comment draguer une bibliothécaire et j'en passe. Il y a plusieurs pages consacrées à mille-et-une bebelles avec comme thème les bibliothèques et les bibliothécaires. Des vêtements aux bijoux en passant par les accessoires et les livres.
