Set in the Canadian prairie city of Winnipeg which has a large urban (off-reserve) Indigenous population. Murders of two young Indigenous women trigger a public outcry that police are not doing enough to solve the crimes. Meanwhile the two main protagonists, City of Winnipeg cops, are continuously stonewalled by a population that doesn't trust authority, any government or the police. A suspenseful read.
