"Culture of Critique" hits like a sledgehammer, and MacDonald strikes his mark relentlessly, again and again, ensuring that no possible objection to or skepticism of his thesis survives a cover-to-cover reading of this book. His most effective evidence is the words of the Jewish intelligentsia itself, turned against them; or rather, their doctrine is simply nakedly revealed and left to speak for itself. One of the most important books that I personally have ever read, in a political sense. This book sat on my bookshelf for over a year before I summoned the discipline to sit down and study it. I am inclined to say "no," which means that this work does rise to the level of being not utter rubbish, and yet I still am not quite sure. The author also seemingly is acting more as an advocate than social scientist at various points, as in ignoring the extremely high rates of the marriage outside their faith over the past 30 years, quoting from the Bible but ignoring where Moses marries someone who was likely a gentile. But, on balance it sure looks like he's done his historical research.… (meer)
